First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor

Description

This 2 day course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended-learning course consisting of online content, a pre-course skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. To become a Red Cross Training Services instructor you will need to successfully complete a Red Cross Instructor Course including meeting prerequisites for the instructor course which includes a certification in the course area as well as completion of an online orientation to the instructor course. Red Cross Instructor courses are delivered across the country by the Red Cross and its partners.

To teach Red Cross Training Services courses, you must be affiliated with either a Red Cross Authorized Provider (AP) or Licensed Training Provider (LTP) – these Red Cross training providers are companies, organizations, or individuals that have a contractual relationship with the Red Cross permitting the training provider to teach Red Cross certification courses to companies, schools, and individuals within their communities in exchange for a per-person fee.
